DO I HAVE TO BE A GOOD DANCER TO LEARN WEST COAST SWING?
You do not need any prior experience dancing to learn West Coast Swing, but you will need dedication to learn this dance. There is also plenty of challenge for experienced dancers who wish to expand their dance knowledge. West Coast Swing is perfect for anyone who really wants to learn about partner dancing, as well as have some fun, get some exercise and enjoy movement with music.
WHAT AGE GROUP DOES WEST COAST SWING SUIT?
Anyone from 8 years of age to our more mature community members can learn West Coast Swing appropriate to them. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
HOW DO I DRESS AND WHAT KIND OF SHOES DO I WEAR?
Dress comfortably in something that allows for easy movement. Shoes should be comfortable and slick or smooth soled to easily slide across the floor. For the dedicated dancer, a low latin style heeled dance shoe is best.
